Investments in new and expanded facilities are part of a five-year, $100 million plan by MMC’s parent company,
Fincantieri, to modernize its U.S. shipbuilding operations.

This project nearly doubles the building’s size and provides enough indoor space to house various vessels, including the capability to simultaneously house two complete LCS hulls and parts for two additional ships.
